The Architecture Wing of Municipal Corporation was set up in the year 1999. Although the planning of various works of Municipal Corporation is being done by the Department of Urban Planning U.T.Chd., the role of Architecture wing of corporation is not less either. The architecture wing is involved in the planning and development of various pockets in Manimajra, besides planning of parks/green belts, various buildings, addition/alteration in existing buildings of Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh. Re-planning of roads and parkings is also a subject matter of Architecture wing. The Architecture Wing is under the direct control of Sh. K.B. Sharma, (Chief Engineer).The Achitecture Wing has a strength of three officials, which includes two Draftsman. The planning of the various works done by M.C. is sanctioned by the Department of Urban Planning U.T.Chd. The Architecture wing under the able guidance of Chief Engineers has worked on various projects. List of which is as under :-
